Description:

This comprehensive, interactive program consists of four one-hour sessions. Lectures, discussions, exercises with a study buddy, and follow-up assignments will enable participants to actively develop their skills. To supplement the program, you will be provided with a copy of the 70+ page Certified Interview Strategist Study Guide.

Module 1
YOUR ROLE AS AN INTERVIEW STRATEGIST
In this introductory module, you will learn to how to approach your role as an Interview Strategist. You will discuss proven theories, techniques, and concepts for enabling your clients to succeed in an interview. Preparation is key for your clients and you will be given a solid structure for assisting them in this effort.

Module 2
DEVELOPING YOUR CLIENTS’ VALUE PROPOSITIONS
This module focuses on developing your clients' value propositions as part of solid career branding. Through class discussions and the CIS Study Guide, you will learn specific ways to enable your clients to develop and deliver their vital messages in employment interviews.

Module 3
DEALING WITH THE MANY INTERVIEW TYPES AND STYLES
We will cover the most common interview styles including traditional, behavioural, and case-based interviewing. You will be led through an established structure for empowering your clients to respond to questions. We will cover strategies that your clients can use to deal with specific questions and obstacles.

Module 4
CLOSING THE DEAL
You will learn strategies to enable your clients to close the deal and win the job offer. This module will cover making the sale, negotiating the deal, and debriefing your clients. You will be able to provide your clients with tangible solutions to the most difficult phase of the interview.
