How can you earn your CIS credential?
Once you have started your CIS credentialing program, you have up to one full year to prepare and complete the 2-part testing process.
We make the process of earning and maintaining your CIS credential straightforward! To achieve the CIS designation all you need to do is:
- Register for membership with Career Professionals of Canada
- Register for the Certified Interview Strategist program
- Complete and pass the Certified Interview Strategist Challenge Exam (PART 1)
- Submit and pass an evaluation of a case study and client reference (PART 2)
- Maintain a current membership with Career Professionals of Canada

How can you earn your MCIS credential?
The MCIS designation is the exclusive standard reserved only for the top strategists in our industry. Only once you have been awarded your Certified Interview Strategist (CIS) credential may you apply for the prestigious Master Certified Interview Strategist (MCIS) designation. You may renew your MCIS designation every two years by submitting a report and paying your recertification fee.

How do you register for the CIS?
In order to apply for your certification, you must be a registered member of CPC. If you are not already a registered member, you can join membership and register for your certification at the same time.If you are ready to invest in your future, you can sign up by completing our Printable Registration Form.
Membership Rates
- Individual Membership: $180.00 per member
- Group Membership: $150.00 per member (minimum 2 members)
- Student Membership: $80.00 per member
CIS
Certification Rates (you must be a member to apply)
- Members: $295.00 per applicant
- Re-write Fee: $75.00 administration fee. (limit 2 re-writes)
MCIS Certification Rates
- Members: $295.00 per applicant
- Renewal Fee: $75.00 per applicant
- Re-write Fee: $75.00 administration fee. (limit 2 re-writes)
Once you have achieved your CIS certification, your designation is valid as long as you remain an active member of Career Professionals of Canada. There is no recertification fee for the CIS. Once you have attained your MCIS, you may renew this designation every two years.
Career Professionals of Canada’s credentialing program is setting the Canadian standard for excellence in resume, interview, and career strategy. We hold the right to revoke any individual’s credential if that individual is found guilty for unlawful or unethical business practices or professional misconduct; or if that individual does not continue to meet the credentialing requirements outlined above.
