How do you attain your CRS?

In order to apply for and attain your certification, you must be a registered PROFESSIONAL MEMBER of CPC. If you are not already a Professional Member, you can join membership and register for your certification at the same time.

  • Register for Professional Membership with Career Professionals of Canada (CPC)
  • Apply for your Certified Resume Strategist (CRS) Certification
  • Complete and pass the Testing Process within one year of application

How can you prepare for your CRS Credential?

The CRS Program is a self-study program. To prepare for your certification, you will be sent a comprehensive 80+ page Certification Study Guide (e-book). This guide is a valuable resource. It thoroughly discusses current concepts and strategies to enable you to produce an outstanding resume. By following this guide, you will learn how and when to apply various techniques to enable your clients to succeed in their career endeavours. How can you earn your CRS credential?

We make the process of earning and maintaining your CRS credential straightforward!

The CRS program is a self-study program that validates your expertise as a resume strategist.

You complete the program on your schedule. Once you have paid for the program, received your Certification Study Guide (e-book), and started your CRS credentialing program, you have up to one full year to study, prepare, and complete the testing process.

To pass the testing process, you must achieve an average grade of 70% or more on the evaluation of your submission. You will be notified of your status within four weeks of your submission.

Once you have achieved your CRS certification, your designation is valid as long as you remain an active member of Career Professionals of Canada. There is no recertification fee.

To achieve the CRS designation all you need to do is:

Register for Professional Membership

  • Individual Membership: $180.00 per member
  • Group Membership: $150.00 per member (minimum 2 members)

Apply for your CRS Certification

  • Members: $295.00 per applicant
  • Resubmission Fee: $75.00 administration fee (limit 2 resubmissions)

Complete the Testing Process

  • Study the CPC Certification Study Guide
  • Submit by email your best work (3 Resumes, 1 Cover Letter, Strategy Statement)
  • Attain 70% to be CRS Certified
  • Maintain your CPC membership to remain certified (no recertification fees)
