The CPC Ambassador Program

Career Professionals of Canada’s Ambassador Program is an initiative to develop connections with career practitioners across Canada and to increase the visibility of our organization. Our Ambassadors are PROFESSIONAL MEMBERS who assist CPC by reaching out to other professionals in the career counselling/career coaching community. They provide beneficial information on the value of CPC membership and increase the awareness of CPC’s credentialing programs and other professional development opportunities.

What is the purpose of the CPC Ambassador Program?

The Career Professionals of Canada Ambassador Program aims to establish a network of dynamic, informed, and qualified individuals throughout Canada who can actively and effectively represent Career Professionals of Canada.  Ambassadors will develop meaningful relationships with individuals and agencies from across Canada, and represent CPC when necessary and appropriate.

Our goals:

  • Provide information and increase awareness of CPC in all parts of Canada.
  • Promote CPC initiatives, services, programs and membership.
  • Provide support to members and potential members.
  • Increase the membership base and the number of individual members.
  • Increase membership participation and attendance in CPC initiatives and events.
  • Assist in building a stronger CPC network and connections between members.

A CPC Ambassador:

  • Is a PROFESSIONAL MEMBER of CPC, and a recognized leader in their organization and community.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and diplomacy on a professional and personal level.
  • Is dedicated to providing information about Career professionals of Canada.
  • Promotes and increases awareness of CPC’s mission, values, professional programs, events, and other activities.
  • Shows a genuine interest and passion to support colleagues, career practitioners, and like-minded individuals.
  • Encourages feedback and gathers information from colleagues and other career professionals.
  • Assists CPC in improving the quality of programs and services offered.
  • Works with a team of professionals passionate about strengthening CPC through the Ambassador program.

Ambassador’s Responsibilities

  • Act as a spokesperson for CPC, and present the value and benefits of the organization to members and potential members.
  • Organize and administer one or more “Meet Up” events annually.  These free events will be will be open to Canadian practitioners who want to learn more about CPC.
  • Connect with members and prospective members in the province or region they represent.
  • Provide information and updates regarding CPC initiatives, resources, and programs.
  • Represent CPC at events, professional development opportunities, and conferences in their respective region.
  • Disseminate promotional materials and information to members and other career professionals through a variety of mechanisms including email, phone, and in person.
  • Support their region and community by encouraging feedback from members and potential members regarding CPC initiatives and programs, and their professional development needs.
  • Network with other CPC Ambassadors and bring additional networking opportunities into their region.
  • Collaborate with other CPC Ambassadors to promote and develop the Ambassador program.
  • The time commitment required for this role is flexible depending upon the volunteer Ambassador’s availability.
